Act

Act is a footwear company based between Mallorca and Berlin. The brand, a manufacturer of luxurious leather espadrilles, was conceived almost overnight by two entrepreneurs with no strategy or expertise, and on a modest budget. A week later, they were touring Spain by bus, looking for factories that would speak the same language and cater to their quality requirements. The brand’s beginnings, audacious and carefree, stay at the heart of what defines the values of Act: spontaneity, timelessness, and ultimate Mediterranean-ness.
Contrary to what is usually expected from a product with a long tradition, Act’s espadrilles are understated and effortless. Its collection revolves around a number of classic staples, which is expanded with new and improved products on a yearly basis. This approach, along with its modest size, pushes the company to work with a different schedule than most fashion houses: as a result, Act organizes its releases in numbered series instead of seasons. A process of trial and error whereby their products get better, year after year.
